Week 14 of my 100 days project Scotland
It’s week 14, the final week of the 100 days project, Scotland. You can find out more about the project and my own project plan here >
It’s finally here, the end of the project. 100 days is 14 weeks and 2 days so I’m including the extra two days here too.
I had run out of ideas a bit for this week so I was glad to get some suggestions from followers on Instagram! One suggested coins and currency. I don’t know about you but I have a stash of euro coins saved! And I haven’t been using sterling coins much this year as we are encouraged to use contactless payments so I had a few coins in my purse. Plus a £5 note that I’ve had since March! Now, it is, of course, illegal to copy currency so I was careful to ensure that I only use elements of the currency, although of course because it is moulded the image is reversed.
For the first time since I started this project, I had a holiday! I’d planned the project to be able to take it away with me as originally I was meant to be filming a course in London in May and teaching in London in July so fortunately I was able to take the small amount of kit I needed with me on the train to Pitlochry.
For my final two days I didn’t have a theme. For day 99 I moulded some of my gorgeous cat’s discarded whiskers. For day 100 I used the finishing touches alphabet 2 Georgia mould from Metal Clay ltd to mould the year.
What’s next?
I am proud to have completed this project and kept on track with it every single day for 100 days.
The 100 pieces still need to be filed and drilled ready for firing and assembling into a neckpiece. I’ll keep you posted on this on the blog.
Thanks so much for following the project
