Filming in 2023
I also filmed four courses with Jewellers Academy.

Jewellers Academy run online jewellery-making courses and uses a professional film crew to ensure you can see all the action!

These are the courses I filmed:

  • Soldering Silver Clay which is exclusive to the one-year Diploma in Silver Metal Clay

  • Silver Leaf and Botanical Jewellery (which should be available to purchase as a course in 2024)

  • Beads and Hollow Forms in Silver Clay which is exclusive to the one-year Diploma in Silver Metal Clay

The Jewellers Retreat Season 2

I am one of the producers of The Jewellers Retreat and I can also be seen in every episode alongside Jessica Rose giving jewellery business tips.

If you enjoy Bake Off, The Repair Shop or Sewing Bee you’ll love the Jewellers Retreat! Three Diploma students were invited to the home of Jessica Rose, founder of Jewellers Academy, for three days of jewellery making. Each day, the students made three different jewellery projects under time constraints. Season 1 came out in 2021 and season 2 launches on Wednesday 13th December 2023. It’s a great show for anyone who loves seeing how things are made!

Some thank yous and an invitation

I want to share a huge thank you to Lynn of the Arienas Collective. I am so grateful for you for many reasons! For sharing your beautiful home with us, for all that you do to administer all the workshops and deal with the logistics to run so many sold-out workshops. For your support of the artist community in Edinburgh and for your friendship. There is zero way I could share my knowledge of silver clay with so many people without you.

And also to John, Jodie, Jack and the team at Cademy working away behind the scenes. Thank you.

And to whoever is reading this - I would love you to join me for a silver clay workshop in Edinburgh in 2024. My dates for the year are already available and one workshop for January has already sold out. Even after a decade of teaching silver clay I still love introducing this amazing material to new people.
