  1. Creative Expression

Learning silver clay jewellery making allows you to explore and express your creativity. I love teaching at the Arienas Collective as we have a gorgeous supportive and inspiring environment where you can learn new skills and develop your own unique style. Creating jewellery with silver clay offers endless possibilities for designing and crafting pieces that reflect your personal taste and artistic vision and that is truly exciting.

  2. Handcrafted Treasures

With silver clay you can make beautiful, one-of-a-kind treasures. By learning this skill, you can create unique pieces of jewellery that make perfect gifts for loved ones or even develop a small business selling your creations. The satisfaction of wearing or gifting a piece of jewellery that you have personally crafted is just the best!

  3. Accessible and Versatile Material

Silver clay, also known as precious metal clay, is a versatile material that can be shaped, moulded, and fired to produce high-quality silver jewellery. It is more accessible and forgiving than traditional silversmithing techniques, making it an excellent choice for beginners. Traditional silver jewellery methods are quite physical with lots of sawing, hammering and filing. With silver clay we are using a softer material meaning that it is more accessible for people. Plus you don’t need as many bulky tools and equipment. At The Arienas Collective, you will learn the techniques to work with silver clay effectively and transform it into stunning jewellery pieces from home.

  4. Expert Guidance

I specialise in working with silver metal clay and have completed the Art Clay Diploma, The Rio Rewards PMC Diploma and the Higher Diploma in Metal Clay. I started teaching for the London Jewellery School in 2012 and continue to teach for Jewellers Academy, including on their one-year Diploma in Silver Metal Clay. I have also been a guest expert on Create and Craft TV and have been invited to teach at the You Can Make It UK metal clay conference for every one of their three years - the only tutor from Scotland to do so.

I provide expert guidance and support throughout the learning process, ensuring you receive personalized attention and assistance. I purposely keep the groups small so that I can help everyone learn the necessary techniques, tips, and tricks to create beautiful silver clay jewellery with confidence.

  5. Community and Inspiration

I adore working at the Arienas Collective which is a creative hub that fosters a sense of community and inspiration among its artists and learners. You will learn alongside fellow jewellery enthusiasts providing you an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, share ideas, and receive feedback on your work. The supportive environment encourages growth and encourages you to push the boundaries of your creativity, ultimately enhancing your skills and passion for jewellery making.

Overall, learning silver clay jewellery making with me at The Arienas Collective in Edinburgh offers a unique and enriching experience that combines creativity, craftsmanship, expert guidance, community, and inspiration. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced jewellery maker, this creative journey is sure to be fulfilling and enjoyable.
