Week 11 of my 100 days project Scotland

It’s week 11 of the 100 days project, Scotland. You can find out more about the project and my own project plan here >

This week I have chosen the technique carving. Silver clay is a lovely material to carve. You make the piece and allow it to dry completed, what is known as the greenware stage, and then it can be carved. I used dockyard carving tools.

Unfortunately, on day 71 of the project we had to say goodbye to my faithful cat. He was 18 and had been my companion since he was a kitten. He had been ill and we ended up having to take him to the emergency vet. It was very sad and the first few days of this week I really struggled to keep going with the project. I am glad that I continued, even if I feel that I did the bare minimum to keep up! But I am glad. We’re three quarters of the way through now with just 3 weeks to go.
