Circuit breaker lockdown workshop closure
Although our premises are not affected by the circuit breaker lockdown in Scotland we have taken the decision to close for these two weeks.
What does this mean?
The Arienas Collective is closed from today, reopening on Monday 26th October. All workshops scheduled from that date onwards are unaffected.
I had six sold out workshops scheduled for these two weeks and I'm sorry if anyone booked to attend is disappointed. We did discuss at length what we felt was best to do in the circumstances. The advice is not to travel outside of your own health authority and we know that we have students booked who travel from further away. Plus, it is not recommended to use public transport during this time and our central location means that the majority of our students do use public transport to get to us.
Fortunately we have been able to reschedule all postponed jewellery workshops for new dates in 2020 - mostly on the same weekday. Here are the re-arranged dates, all times remain the same.
If you were booked onto a workshop during this time you will already have received an email from Lynn at the Arienas Collective with your rearranged date. If you are unable to make that date please do get back to Lynn and let her know asap and we will try to find a better date for you. If you could do that quickly it will give us time to advertise your space to another student.
I’ll be honest, this is a big financial blow for me after having six months with no teaching income. I am fortunate that it only makes up around a third of my income so I’m not completely reliant on it but having to postpone six sold out workshops is tough. Fortunately if people are able to re-book their place then all is well. and I would like to thank you for your support.

I hope this has reassured you that we are taking your health seriously. We continue to watch the government guidance and will make changes if required to do so. For now, I am confident that we are doing everything we can to keep us all safe so that we can get back to learning and creating.
